Berwick Workspace

Berwick Workspace was conceived as an incubator which would raise the level of enterprise and value of jobs available within the town. To achieve this it had to be a well recognised place within the town and have a branding which related to the town rather than the operators, owners or funders of the facility. The Council, through its site contractor TEDCO invited designs from professional designers which could achieve this. Infinite Design a web design agency from Newcastle was appointed.

It was important that the business incubator have its own branding and not rely on that of the Council as owner of the building or the private sector operator of the building. This was a good decision in hindsight as the operator of the building has changed over time and the building has also transferred in ownership from the Council to its arm’s length regeneration company.
