a smarter way to work

Dutch projects impress the Micropol partners

Seminar Coevorden

MICROPOL gave a boost to the planned Smart Work Centre in the host town of Coevorden. The new SWC in Coevorden will be based in an old warehouse of “Van Gend & Loos” which is part of the town’s cultural heritage. The building will be renovated and turned into a multi purpose Smart Work Centre that includes offices, free work space, meeting rooms, etc.

Micropol partners outside the future SWC in Coervorden

From 5th – 7th March the Micropol partners combined a seminar with study trips to a variety of practicle examples in the Drenthe region. Theme of this particular visit was the re-use of old buildings and giving them a new function e.g. a Smart Work Centre. We visited SWCs in Valthermond and Assen : De Aanleg, an old farmhouse without ICT and De Drentse Zaak, a fully equipped work centre in a town villa. The seminar itself was held in the Provinciehuis in Assen, seat of the Province of Drenthe (regional government authority and Dutch partners in Micropol).
